This guide will provide 10 simple step by step instructions on how to configure your Alcatel MIFI device to access Digicel’s 4G services.
Step 1. Ensure your MIFI device is turned on and connected to a PC via USB cable. A successful connection can be noted by the below symbol.
Step 2. In a new browser tab, enter the below address to access the devices management page.
ADDRESS: 192.168.1.1
The management page should load where the below screen can be seen.
Step 3. Click the “Login” option that can be seen on the top right hand corner of the screen, then enter the below password.
PASSWORD: admin
Step 4. Select "Settings".
Step 5. Select “Profile Management” and “New” to create your Profile.
Step 6. Enter the settings exactly as seen below then select the save button.
After you select save, you will see the below screen. Click OK.
Step 7. Select the new profile you’ve created “Digicel Web” in the Profile Management drop down.
Step 8. After selecting “Digicel Web” as your profile, click “Set Default” as shown below.
Step 9. Select “Network Mode” where you will see the available options below.
Step 10. Change the network mode from “Auto” to “3G Only” and click “Apply”. Click “Select” after which you will see the screen below.
Select “Disconnect” to apply settings. Then, Click OK.
Having done this, we can now enable connection mode by doing the following:
Step 11. Select “Connection Mode”.
Step 12. Click the highlighted button to switch from “Disconnected” to “Connected”.
